1719 Herr House: The oldest home in Lancaster County, the beautiful stone house (often nicknamed the "Hans Herr House") was built in 1719 by Christian Herr, a Swiss-German Mennonite immigrant. Also used for worship services, it is oldest extant Mennonite meetinghouse in the Western Hemisphere. The Mennonite Information Center: Welcome center for visitors to the Lancaster Mennonite and Amish community and the life-size Biblical Tabernacle Reproduction. Lancaster Mennonite Conference: One of two area Mennonite conferences with which the Society is affiliated and whose records we archive; conference dates to 1711. Atlantic Coast Mennonite Conference: The other area Mennonite conference with which the Society is affiliated and whose records we archive; current conference was organized in 1978, with roots dating to 1893.
