29th Annual Bookworm Frolic, August 2009

Dates: August 12-15, 2009
Times: 9 am-7 pm daily, closing at 4 pm Saturday
Location: Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society, 2215 Millstream Road, Lancaster

Come celebrate the 29th annual Bookworm Frolic used book sale held at the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society.  This year, Cylo, mascot of Lancaster's baseball team, will join us on Weds, 10-11 am, as part of the "Read with the Barnstormers" program.

Great bargains on some 50,000 quality used books.  Home-cooked food will also be available.  All proceeds support the historical society.

The event attracts a cross section of tourists, Amish and Mennonites, teachers, children, book resellers, and readers in search of great bargains.

“A must see event for all ages, and many categories to choose from, history to cookbooks to Christian fiction and music,” says Daniel Ness, last year's co-coordinator of the sale. “Buy your books here at the same prices as last year, unlike everything else!”

While you’re here, stop in our Museum of rare Amish and Mennonite artifacts.  Decorated and Plain: A Mennonite and Amish sampler has a fabulous display of Pennsylvania German arts in handcrafted furniture, fraktur, needlework, and other priceless artifacts.

We hope to see you here!  Price deductions daily, sale held rain or shine!

“Come for a book, stay for the fellowship at the 29th Annual Book Sale”
